About

I began a love affair with stories as the youngest girl of a homeschooled family outside Beeville, Texas. The first story I remember falling in love with was Peter Pan, promising in a land faraway I would never grow up to become an adult without a joy for play. Instead, I found a joy for playing with words, and succeeded in failing to grow up properly.

Our world was small; stories were my only window into an outside world. Slowly my world widened. The door of school shut to me, I traveled through side rooms to become a dancer, reluctant exerciser, janitor, waitress, and day care worker. The walls of my world collapsed when I left home for college at seventeen to become an adult – becoming a world traveler, a teacher, a copywriter, and a professor along the way.

If you need writing advice or revising services, I’m your girl. If you want travel tips, I’m your girl. If you need teaching advice, I’m your girl! Drop a message, and say hello!

I graduated from the Master of Fine Arts program at Texas State University – my calves now unhappily well-defined from climbing hills to class in Flowers Hall. I have a finished memoir, and am working on both a murder mystery and a romance novel. In the meantime, I challenge myself to see how my ideas and feelings are received on the multimedia-obsessed web. If you would like to know more, feel free to ask!

The source of it all.

See y’all!
